You will need to type in the full address http://www.milanitroutcottages.com for a while until Google etc catches up with our new location. Please leave us a comment and tell us what you think. A reminder: the fishing is the best in 20 years in our estimation.
I forgot to say the fishing is great with the stream in excellent condition. You can see the fish rising almost any time of the day at present.
We had a wonderful weekend with perfect weather and great guests. Our family in the Trout Cabin enjoyed their first trout fishing experience and hooked a small trout. The children really enjoyed our bushwalk to the mine and then damper and watching Wal work the sheep with our kelpie Jess. We enjoyed ourselves too with Wal demonstrating how to whirl the billy while the damper cooked. Our other guests who have been returning for may years had a very successful fishing weekend with over 50 fish caught and released. Many of them were small but they also caught three over 40cms.
We will add items of interest about the fishing, the birds, what's in flower and the weather as well as any events or special offers we are planning. We will also keep you informed about what is happening around the region if you are planning a trip to our part of the world. Remember Guyra now has its Spring Troutfest to celebrate the opening of the trout fishing season on the long weekend in October. Of most importance to those who are regulars is that we are now providing linen and towels in both cabins. This will save you some packing space. Let us know your thoughts.
